3 DOWN, 3 TO GO

Having fun yet? 3 action packed rounds in the books, and 3 more to go before we crown the 2004 NCAA Champions as well as the 12^th Annual Mayhem of Madness Champion. With 8 teams remaining, we should expect four #1 seeds and four #2 seeds left, right? How about two #1’s, two #2’s, one #3, one #4, one #7, and one #8? That sounds about right. No rest for the weary as the teams will head back out to the hardwood this weekend to duke it out (no pun intended) for the right to head to the Alamodome for the Final 4.

Turning to the ever important pool, not one entry of the 196 could muster even 6 out of the Final 8. Xavier and Alabama made sure that was the case. 106 entries can still finish in the Top 20, but only a mere 19 of them can capture 1^st place. Breaking out the trusty calculator, we’ll have to say goodbye to 90 of you. Your money, I mean ‘entry’ was greatly appreciated. The only thing you have to look forward to is more of my witty banter, and of course, the DeathPool (check us out before the NFL season). Let’s see how the action unfolds over the weekend …
